The Wayhaven Chronicles - Update 08.05.2026

It was an odd week this week, lol!

I’m not sure if it was the bank holiday on Monday that set everything off, but it really was all over the place.

Still, despite not being able to get my head around the days, I managed to get the editing done and began looking over the plan for the next chapter, which I’ll be starting today!

This chapter, like I said last week, is the last one before the endings!

And this is the chapter I’ve had the most back and forth on this whole process, especially the closer I got to writing it, lol.

It’s not a difficult one to write—which was kind of the point, as it’s supposed to be a lovely romantic time before the major hecticness of the endings. I’ve needed a couple of those chapters this book because I really did bring the melodrama I love, lol!

But the calm of this moment is also kind of the issue.

I’m really worried it’ll break up the flow of the drama and intensity that leads in towards the endings.

So, I’ve been super back and forth on it… but I’m adding it in. Wayhaven is a romance, and the more I can fit in the better, hehe! Plus, it really does happen at the right moment. Things fall into place perfectly for some time with the LI to occur, so why wouldn’t they take to opportunity to spend that time together?

I’m very excited to get started on these scenes though, as I super love them even with my indecisive about the vibe matching the flow of the rest of it. And a couple of them really set up what’s gonna happen in Book Five… ;D
