The Wayhaven Chronicles - Update 13.02.2026

The writing for this chapter is finished and editing has begun!

I’ll also be adding in the editor’s edits for the last chapter, as well as reader’s edits for any errors they’ve found.

Every chapter ticked off is really giving me that feel of how much closer I’m getting to the end! I know there’s still a ways to go—actually there’s barely any chapters left, it’s just that they’re all massive to write, pretty much every chapter left also has different versions of it—but it’s really feeling like there’s an end in sight!

And because of that, I really need to start thinking about getting some testers in soon.

Changing up the editing this time around has been brilliant, and I also wanted to see if changing how I do the testing would work too. Instead of getting testers in at the end and having major pressure to get it done in a short time period, I’m hoping to get testers in at this point and do testing in chunks over a much longer period.

I’m really hoping that’ll ease the pressure on testers, as well as allowing the process to be more enjoyable and meaning that a lot more errors and bugs will be caught before release!

Book 4 has so many variations, I really just don’t think the old testing process is gonna work to catch everything in an intensive, shorter time like usual.

But anyone who’s been following this journey for a while knows how nervous I get about testing, hehe! :D

End of this week and next week, I will be continuing on with editing, but I’ll be done with that early/mid next week easily, so then I’ll be pushing onto the next chapter!

The next chapter has loads of variations, unsurprisingly at this point, lol! But there’s a certain branch in it I’m VERY excited to write, as it sets up something for the future that people may not see coming…
