The Wayhaven Chronicles - Update 15.05.2026

I completed a lot of mop-up tasks last week which meant I could zone in on the writing this week. It felt good to really just get a long run at it!

Usually, I always follow the order in which the scenes pop up in the plan, but for the first time in a while, I skipped writing the first scene I had planned and moved onto the others. I really didn’t want to get stuck, and I knew I would be with that scene with that particular LI, as it requires a certain headspace for writing it, hehe! :D

But it was a good call, as I’ve really powered through! It’s been flowing amazingly, and I’ve even added a couple more choice sets to this LI’s scene than planned just because it was really working for it! (The other LI scenes will be balanced and have just as much content, don’t worry!).

Next week, I’m really pushing for it to be more of the same with no other tasks. I’m really hoping to drive through, even maybe be close to finishing all these scenes before moving onto the last heavier one I need to be in the right ‘zone’ for, lol!

Though one thing I did this week was writing a scenario for a patron, and it meant looking back at Book Two scenes for what they wanted. And wow…my coding really has cleaned up and become so much more concise! So that was a real boost! :D

Though it was super weird going back to writing Adam/Ava back as they were in Book Two! Didn’t realise just how many walls they’d let down at this point in the romance!
