The Wayhaven Chronicles - Update 16.01.2026

Well, this week was certainly a lot calmer than last week!

End of last week we were hit majorly by storm Goretti. We ended up without power for 3 days. But we were all safe which was the most important! It did mean we couldn’t get on our laptops or charge phones, etc, which put me behind schedule—not exactly the start I wanted.

But this week was a new week, and it felt oddly charged with a lot of energy! :D

We were seriously on it, and I’ve really stormed ahead! My focus has been getting the editor’s edits up together, there was a couple of chapters outstanding on that, as well as the reports coming in from other testers. It was good ‘cause it made me read over the last couple of chapters and give myself a refresher on where I was before break.

I was very happy to see how excited the sensitivity reader was getting for Book Four! :D They are always very encouraging, but it’s the best feeling when someone who is testing it is also actually really getting into the story and sends back a host of excited questions wondering what’s coming next!

I also got ahead of myself and worked on the Valentine’s specials for Patreon next month! Something a bit different than just the usual scenarios! There will be a sneak peek of that later this month ;)

It feels really good getting back on track after last week’s all over the place start! I’ll be focusing on finishing up those edits and getting the next set over the editor before moving onto the first version of the next dramatic (which they pretty much all are now that we’re working our way into the ending section, lol) chapter!
