The Wayhaven Chronicles - Update 16.05.2025

Edits done, chapter plan sorted, and new chapter about to be underway!

It does feel good getting to the end of a long checklist with all the boxes ticked, hehe! :D

Editing was still taking longer than I would have liked, but I think that’s because it’s not just spelling or bug errors I’m having to keep an eye out for, it’s tidying and condensing the actual writing where I can too.

With Hosted Games doing pricing by wordcount now, I want to keep things concise as much as possible to keep the price down, especially as Book Four’s already quite a big one with all the branching and things!

But I did manage quite a bit of tidying in code and narrative but still keeping the feel of my writing. I don’t want to lose my style or how Wayhaven feels as I go!

I know there’s currently not any asks going out, but I’ll be getting on that next week with social media days, where I’ll also be writing up another ‘Between Book 3 and 4’ Unseen Scene with one of the vampires for Patreon!

Next week, I’ll also be sending over the two chapters I’ve edited to the editor, as well as getting the editor-edited chapter over to the readers!

But for today and tomorrow, I’ll be jumping back into hammering through this chapter, as I need to get my fingers writing again, hehe! :D
